Dr. Durugu Srinivasa Rao completed his undergraduate training in Medicine from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, India. He then pursued his masters in Internal Medicine and obtained his MD from The Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India. He further specialized in Cardiology receive his doctorate (DM - Cardiology) from Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad, India. He is presently practicing invasive and non-invasive cardiology.


 


Dr. Srinivasa Rao served as a Specialist in Internal Medicine at the Armed Forces Medical College in India initially. He took voluntary retirement after 12 years of service, in 2000. Following this he worked as Assistant Professor and later as Associate Professor of Cardiology at Andhra Medical College/King George Hospital. During his tenure at the teaching hospital, he was actively involved with non-invasive and invasive cardiology practice besides teaching post graduate students of internal medicine and cardiology. He has vast experience in cardiac interventions for coronary artery disease (coronary angiography and PTCA procedures), peripheral interventions (renal arteries and limb ischemia) pacemaker implantations and device closure procedures.  He has numerous publications to his credit and is an active member of various cardiology societies.


 


He is fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu.
