uniCare Medical Centre LLC

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 August 2026 Applies to: www.unicaredubai.com and the digital advertising and marketing channels of uniCare Medical Centre LLC BurJuman Branch — BurJuman Mall, Dubai  ·  Mankhool Branch — Mankhool, Bur Dubai

Introduction and scope

uniCare Medical Centre LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website www.unicaredubai.com (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data collected through the Website, our online doctor and practitioner profile pages, and our digital advertising and marketing activity across Meta, Google, WhatsApp, SMS, and email.

This Policy covers your digital interactions with us — browsing the Website, viewing a doctor’s profile, submitting an enquiry, or responding to an advertisement. It does not describe how clinical or medical records are collected, used, retained, or shared once you become a patient; that is explained to you separately at either branch.

Legal framework

Our handling of website, profile, and marketing data is guided by, among other UAE laws:

  • Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (“PDPL”) and its Executive Regulations;
  • Federal Law No. 2 of 2019 on the Use of Information and Communication Technology in the Health Fields and its Implementing Regulation, Cabinet Decision No. 32 of 2020, to the extent any health-related information is referenced on the Website;
  • DHA’s Standards for Medical Advertisement Content on Social Media (Code DHA/HRS/HPSD/ST-21), which governs all of our online and social media advertising; and
  • The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority’s (“TDRA”) Regulatory Policy on Unsolicited Electronic Communications and Cabinet Resolution No. 56 of 2024 on telemarketing, which govern marketing SMS, calls, and messages, including the federal Do-Not-Contact Registry.

Where mandatory UAE law conflicts with this Policy, the law prevails.

Information we collect through the website

Through the Website, WhatsApp, and our online advertisements, we may collect: your name and contact details submitted via an enquiry form, WhatsApp chat, or a Meta/Google lead ad; technical data such as IP address, browser, device, and pages visited; and cookie and advertising identifiers as described in Section 5.

We do not use the Website to collect clinical or diagnostic information — that is only ever collected in person, as part of your care.

Website doctor and practitioner profiles

The Website publishes profile pages for uniCare Medical Centre LLC’s doctors and practitioners, showing name, specialty, qualifications, and licence details, together with a photo and short bio published with the practitioner’s consent. Profile pages do not use the title “Dr.” for anyone other than physicians, dentists, or other professionals entitled to it under DHA rules.

Profile content is reviewed periodically but may not reflect real-time availability; please confirm current details when booking. If you notice an inaccuracy on a profile page, please let us know using the contact details in Section 12.

Digital advertising, cookies and online tracking

This section explains how we use advertising and tracking technology, and the safeguards that apply because health-related interests can be sensitive.

Cookies and consent

The Website uses Strictly Necessary, Functional, Analytics, and Advertising/Targeting cookies. Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you respond to our cookie banner; all others require your opt-in, which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie preference link in the footer or your browser settings.

Advertising platforms and audience data

We use Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram), including the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, and Google Ads, including the Google tag and Google Analytics 4, to measure campaigns and build audiences from Website visitors. We do not build advertising audiences based on a visitor’s specific medical condition or diagnosis, and do not send diagnosis-level information to these platforms; any contact details shared for audience matching (for example a hashed phone number) are limited to non-health identifiers.

Retargeting, lead ads and WhatsApp

If you browse the Website without enquiring, you may later see our ads elsewhere through retargeting; you can opt out via your Meta Ads Preferences or Google Ads Settings. If you submit your details through a lead ad or click-to-WhatsApp advertisement, they are passed directly to us solely to follow up your enquiry.

SMS, email and WhatsApp marketing

We only send marketing SMS, email, or WhatsApp messages where you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time using the opt-out option provided on WhatsApp, email, or SMS.

How this information is used and shared

Website and marketing data is used to respond to your enquiry, schedule appointments, measure advertising performance, and improve the Website. It may be shared with Meta and Google (marketing data only, never diagnosis-level health data) and with the service providers who operate our WhatsApp, hosting, and marketing systems on our behalf.

We do not sell personal data to any third party.

Data storage and location

All patient records are stored on data centres located within the United Arab Emirates. Patient data does not leave UAE jurisdiction. The only exception is contact details — name, email address, phone number, and city — which may be used for marketing purposes only; Meta and Google may access this limited contact information for that purpose, and no other personal or clinical information is shared with them.

Data retention

Enquiry and marketing data that does not lead to a patient visit is retained for a limited period (typically up to three years from your last interaction) and then deleted or anonymised. Cookie and advertising identifiers follow each platform’s own retention defaults.

If you become a patient, your clinical record is retained separately for a minimum of 25 years from your last health procedure, as required by Federal Law No. 2 of 2019, Article 20.

Your rights and opt-out

You may request access to or correction of your website/marketing data, object to its use for advertising or direct marketing, and withdraw consent at any time, using the contact details in Section 12.

Children’s privacy

The Website is intended for individuals aged 18 and above, or a parent/guardian acting on behalf of a minor. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children for marketing purposes.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law or in our digital practices. The effective date shown above is the date of the last revision.
